Walk in Your Victory

“But thanks be to God, Who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV)

Today, many people we see walking around are living a life of defeat. It seems like they are perpetually under a dark cloud. Going through difficult times takes its toll on you since it’s stressful to go through seasons of hardships. I want to remind you, however, that you are more than a conqueror through Christ and that, as a Christian, God has already given you the victory.

Satan seemed to be victorious in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3), encouraging man to sin, and at the cross where Jesus was crucified. But God turned satan’s seemingly apparent victory into defeat when Jesus Christ rose from the dead (Mark 16:5-7).

Friends, it’s time we quit living a defeated life and start walking in the victory that God has already won. There is no victory without Jesus because, through Christ and His sacrifice, He gives us the power and strength to overcome whatever is trying to defeat us.

Jesus tells us that victory lies in humility. You’ve got to consider yourself transferred by God from one kingdom to another. You can’t live the way you used to because you’re not the person you used to be. You’re transformed. You have the victory. Your citizenship has been accepted from the kingdom of the world to the Kingdom of heaven.

Prayer

Thank You, Lord, for Your love, Your victory, and Your mercy. May Your Name be glorified now and forevermore. Amen.
