Kingdom Kids is a live radio programme which has its genesis in the 1970s when then Pastor Frederick Benjamin spearheaded the program with Sis. Yvonne Zebeda (now known as Reverend Yvonne Osman). The programmme in its current format is being aired since 15 April 2005 as the only faith-based children’s programme in mainstream media, following a rebranding from Children’s Crusade Hour, by Deaconess Celicia Paruag and Bishop Dr. Murtland Raphael Massiah. It should be mentioned that Deaconess Paruag, despite currently living in the diaspora, is still integrally involved in the airing of this programme.

Kingdom Kids seeks to identify and represent the children as Kids for the Kingdom, displaying excellence in everything they put their hands to do according to the will of God. The group of young hosts are multi-talented and multi-faceted in their repertoire of reading, sermonettes, spoken word, dance, spelling, music and academics. It is our prayer that the children will lead other children to accept Jesus into their hearts and demonstrate their readiness with Kingdom principles, to conquer an evolving world. 

Programme leadership

Our current hosts (presenters) are Brother Yeshua Hutson, Sister Sariah Holder, Sister Shelomi Holder, Sister Eliana Ganpat and Sister Maya Roberts, with ages ranging from eleven to sixteen years.

The adult mentors of the Kingdom Kids programme are Deacon Rondel Watson, Deacon Lorex Edwards, Elder Deborah Hutson and Deaconess Tricia Hemraj-Ganpat.

Past alumni of the programme include Brother Kadeem Gordon, Sister Annalisa McCoy, Brother Asim Azim, Sister Ivanna Thompson, Sister Ikia Thompson and Sister Kezia Jeffers, amongst others.

Kingdom Kids is aired every Saturday at 09:30-10:00 hrs on 93.1 REAL FM.
