Deliverance Ministry

Introduction

The Deliverance Ministry has been established since the 1970’s with some of our founding members being Pastor Harry Parasram, Sis Eileen Bourne who subsequently became Reverend Eileen Taite, and Sis. Avril Langford who eventually became Reverend Avril Langford. A day was identified and approved where they would all meet to pray and intercede for those who came seeking spiritual deliverance.

Aim/objective

The aim of the deliverance ministry is: to provide hope to those in spiritual bondage, setting the captives free and introducing them to the Lord Jesus Christ where they will accept Him as their personal Lord and Saviour.

Team Membership

The team consists of eleven (11)  persons, led by Deliverance Minister, Assistant Pastor Loraine Cannings, while the other members are Reverend Randolph Singh, Pastor Paul Benjamin, Assistant Pastor Ovid Ferrel, Assistant Pastor Nyvin John, Pastoral Intern Aubrey Jupiter, Sister Kaye Rodney, Sister Louretta Evans, Sister Iris Williams, Minister Cleveland Thom, and Sister Bridgette Dainty.

Reverend Anthony Semple gives oversight and spiritual covering to this ministry.

Meetings

Meetings are held weekly on Wednesdays from 10am for one hour and fifteen minutes (1h15mins) since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Sessions may however be extended if there is a need.

Scripture verse

Our ministry is guided by 1 Corinthians 10:31 “… whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.” It is the same as our local church’s Scripture, but it also governs the work of the Deliverance ministry.

How can someone be a part of this ministry?

Anyone interested in becoming a part of the Deliverance Ministry must first understand the call of God on their life and their raison d’etre. Following this, they will meet with the leaders of the ministry indicating their interest in joining. They will then be referred to Reverend Anthony Semple for a further interview where a determination will be made as the Holy Spirit ministers. A final decision will eventually be made.
