God Uses Weak Vessels to do Extraordinary Things

‘And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)

God has always specialised in using ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things. He delights in taking weak, fragile vessels and filling them with His strength and glory. The Apostle Paul wrote, “My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Our weakness doesn’t disqualify us; it becomes the very place where God’s power is revealed.

Katherine Kuhlman once said, “God is not looking for golden vessels, but for yielded vessels.” God is not impressed by outward ability or appearance; He looks for hearts that are surrendered. Evan Roberts, the young leader of the Welsh Revival, said, “You don’t have to be famous for God to use you. You just have to be available.” It is availability, not popularity, that draws the hand of God.

True strength begins with humility. When we acknowledge our weakness before God, we position ourselves for His grace. Scripture declares, “…God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6 – NKJV). When we humble ourselves under His mighty hand, we become qualified for divine empowerment and supernatural exploits.

This humility leads to prayer. The yielded soul becomes the praying soul, one that longs to spend time in God’s presence, drawing strength and direction from Him. In prayer, we exchange our weakness for His power.

We must never lose our spiritual hunger. Those who remain hungry for more of God will see His hand move mightily through them. Never settle for where you are; press deeper. God can only fill those who are empty and thirsting for more.

So today, offer your weakness to God. Yield your heart, stay humble, remain prayerful, and keep your hunger alive. Through your surrendered life, God will do extraordinary things for His Kingdom.
