‘So after He had washed their feet and had taken His garments, and was set down again, He said unto them, “Know ye what I have done to you?” – John 13:12 (KJV)
This was, and still is, a great example that Jesus leaves with us to this day: do as He has done while walking the earth.
Birthing, humility, and understanding how to lead all take place at ‘Jesus’s feet.’ Here, you will understand and be able to navigate life’s journey, receive clear direction, practice patience, and be diligent in doing good work. How can we achieve these qualities? They are developed as we constantly meditate on His (Jesus’) words.
In Luke 10:38-42, we are reminded that only a few things are needed or necessary. Mary had chosen that, and the Lord said it was better and that it would not be taken away from her.
It does not matter what people may say or think of you; keep your eyes focused on Jesus. He has already said it is the better thing to do.
Stop being troubled about many things. Do not remove yourself from His presence; becoming busy taking care of the things of the world will result in you missing the blessings of God. You may never find your way back.
Today, I encourage you to trust in Jesus and wait for your breakthrough as you diligently continue to serve in His kingdom.
Testimony
I made a commitment in 2023 to serve the Lord more intentionally, being like Mary, ‘sitting at the feet of Jesus.’ Not fully understanding His words, but I drew closer and saw how important it was to be in His presence constantly. I remembered someone asking if I visited church every day. I had simply learned that I had to renew my mind. Mark 2:22 tells us that no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. Thank you for renewing my mind, Lord.
