Faith Encourages us to Walk Worthy of our Calling

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” – John 14:26 (KJV)

As we operate in our various spheres, let us always be mindful of the voice that speaks to us, the voice of the Holy Spirit. We need to pay attention daily to His leading and direction. After hearing, the next step is to be obedient; obedience requires action. We must be mindful to take time out to minister to others, even in the midst of our busy schedules. As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we must exercise our faith daily to fulfill our purpose (John 16:13).

For example, you may be a business owner, a senior manager, or perhaps the clerk in your organisation, and while sitting quietly in your office or allotted workspace, the Holy Spirit whispers to you to go and pray for and encourage your CEO or a staff member.

Upon hearing this, you may ponder for a long while because you may be fearful, intimidated, or hesitant to approach your boss or colleague in this manner. At this point, you will have to rely on your faith in God to accomplish this assignment. Activated faith will remove the negative emotions you are experiencing and give you the boldness you need. Now is a good time to whisper a prayer to the Lord; prayer is powerful and will help to make the way clear (Romans 8:26).

God is depending on you and me to be willing and available vessels who will minister to another human being in need. Their position or status does not matter to Him. Even though the CEO holds such a high office, he may be hurting, distressed, or discouraged. As we move around, we must be mindful of the people around us. Our faith must move us to minister to felt needs and extend compassion and goodwill to fellow mankind.

As much as it is humanly possible, let us pay careful attention to the leading of the Holy Spirit and exercise our faith to make a difference (Acts 13:2).
