“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart…” – Psalm 27:14 (NIV)
Do not worry! Why? Because we have a Heavenly Father who cares so much about us. He is faithful, and He is truth. He never lies. When we place our faith in Him, we do not have to worry or complain when things do not go as we expected. It may be easy to become anxious and look elsewhere for help, but if God says He has it under control, then we must trust Him. He knows the end from the beginning. Allow Him to have His way.
I can testify. My family began building our house by pooling our finances together. As construction continued, our money ran out. My mother became a little uneasy, and one day she asked, “What is happening?” I replied, “Let’s trust God. He started this house, and He will finish it.” We attempted to borrow from the bank, but our paychecks did not match what was required – our application was denied. Humanly speaking, there seemed to be no way.
Then one Sunday evening, we heard someone calling at our door. A visitor wanted to see my mother. The person handed her an envelope and said, “This is from my friend [name given].” We opened the envelope and were amazed! God had answered our prayers from an unexpected source. The money was enough to complete our house with a balance remaining! What a faithful God we serve!
When we pray, we must wait patiently, leaving everything in Jesus’ hands rather than trying to help Him solve the problem ourselves. He works in ways that bring glory to His name. He truly has everything under control. Matthew 28:18 (NIV) reminds us: “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” Our God is in complete control. There is nothing too difficult for Him.
As we go about our day, let this be our declaration: “I will trust in God. I will trust in His Word. He is my perfect peace.”
Beloved, God calls every believer to place unwavering confidence in Him, even when our prayers seem unanswered. His timing is perfect. His faithfulness never changes. His love never fails, and His presence is always with us. Keep trusting Him. Keep waiting on Him. Your miracle may be closer than you think.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for being faithful in every season of our lives. Help us to trust You completely, even when we cannot see the way forward. Strengthen our hearts as we wait on You, knowing that You are always working behind the scenes for our good and for Your glory. We surrender every worry, every fear, and every burden into Your hands because You have all authority in heaven and on earth. We choose to trust You today and always. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
