Step in the Ring for Family – Part 1

“Then as I looked over the situation, I called together the nobles and the rest of the people and said to them, “Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, Who is great and glorious, and go fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!” – Nehemiah 4:14 (NLT)

Satan will do everything in his power to tear down the walls of spiritual protection around those you love. As a wife, mother, aunt, sister, and sister-in-law I am concerned for what the future holds for our children, nieces, nephews, and cousins. We must stand up and fight! It is time we take a stand for the family.

According to Dr. Dobson’s “Focus on the Family,” children see violence, rape, adultery, burglary, drug use, and vulgar language on prime TV on a regular basis. Teen pregnancy is still an epidemic. Teen suicide still happens (avg. age 15). While the statistics are there and the enemy uses it as a scare tactic, I encourage you today, don’t be afraid of the enemy! He is not all-powerful. He will not and does not win in the end.

There is a cause worth fighting for and that is the protection of our family. If the home is the number one priority of the devil, then we better make sure it’s the number one priority in our lives. We must be committed to God and committed to our family.

Today, step into the ring and declare, I will no longer sit in the shadows waiting for our children and families to be destroyed. I am rolling up my sleeves, putting on my gloves and I am going to begin the FIGHT FOR MY FAMILY!

Prayer:

Lord, Thank You for ordaining families from the beginning. Thank You for placing me in a family and thank You for my beautiful family. I feel helpless that I cannot protect them from all of the evil in this world but I know You can. So today I am asking You to help me in this fight. Please watch over my family when they step out of the walls of the home. Send Your guardian angels to guide them safely and avoid any harm they may face. Cover them I pray, In Jesus’ name, Amen.
