Founded in the 1950s, First Assembly of God Wortmanville (FAOGW) is an organised Pentecostal fellowship in the Assemblies of God, Guyana. Its principal location is at L&P Durban Street, Georgetown, Guyana. First Assembly of God Wortmanville is currently led by our Presiding Bishop Dr. Murtland Raphael Massiah, CCH.
With more than 2,000 members on its roll and a growing Diaspora Ministry, FAOGW is known for its pioneering ministry, church planting and leadership programmes. Our fellowship includes several outstations namely: First Assembly of God Hopetown (West Coast Berbice), First Assembly of God Parfaite Harmonie (West Bank Demerara), First Assembly of God Judah (Sophia) and First Assembly of God Prosperity (Prosperity/Barnwell North, East Bank Demerara). Within these church assemblies we seek to mobilise the saints for the work of the ministry. Our church operations are deeply rooted in the scripture: “Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).
