The Devil Defeated

The Devil Defeated
(Colossians 2:14-15 – KJV)

And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it – (Colossians 2:14-15 – KJV)

As Christians, we may be aware that while we are at our place of employment, the light of Christ that radiates through us destroys the influence of darkness over that organisation and consequently stymies the inequity of satanic emissaries. In reaction, the career of some Christians is under threat and despite their best efforts saints are condemned, ridiculed and persecuted. Promotions are denied and persons with inferior qualifications and experience are receiving rapid promotions while the children of God are sidelined.

It begs the question, what does a child of God do when he/she watches the incompetent and corrupt being shielded and receives unjustified rewards and awards? How does one react when the unbeliever takes credit for the saints’ hard work and accomplishments?

Beloved, the injustices meted out may make you feel used, abused, and refused but God has not abandoned you. His Word in Isaiah 54:17 reminds us that “No weapon, formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord” – KJV. No matter the crisis, we can, must, and will turn the test into a testimony. The devil is a defeated foe and we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus.

Be informed that there is nothing in the Bible that guarantees your avoidance of affliction, but there is a multitude of precious promises guaranteeing God’s preservation through affliction. It should always be remembered that God deals with Christians as children. He therefore chastens and disciplines us. It should be remembered also that “tribulation worketh patience” – Romans 5:3 – KJV.

Therefore brethren, if we accept affliction with courageous trust, we can be certain that God’s sufficient grace and strength can be richly supplied and we can overcome any crisis because He promised to prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies. He will make a way, where there seems to be no way and this is the year of our breakthrough.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, Your Word in Psalms 75:6-7 states that promotion cometh neither from the east nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one and setteth up another, we recognise Jehovah God that man can appoint but God can disappoint. We sent forth the fire of the Holy Spirit to destroy every diabolical system and structure constructed to marginalise your people. We render every hex, incantation, and spell conjured by workers of iniquity against your children null, void, and of no effect. We unseat satanic emissaries who sit as major principalities over our lives. We also take authority over the powers of darkness and trample upon serpents and scorpions and all the powers of the enemy, having full confidence that nothing by any means will harm us, in Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen!
