One Act of Obedience

“Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean”.

2 Kings 5: 14 (KJV)

The above passage of Scripture shows obedience, however, Naaman was not pleased with the servant of God’s instruction initially (2 Kings 5:10-14) but later obeyed and received his healing and deliverance from this disease (Leprosy).

Like so many of us, Naman felt that given his status in society, having to dip in the Jordan River was beneath him, not realising that God is not a respecter of persons. It’s important that we humble ourselves like a child whenever we’re approaching God, our Jehovah Rapha.

Varicose Veins plagued my mother for a number of years and she visited numerous doctors to treat the sore that developed on her foot which caused her tremendous pain. Eventually, I decided to pay Doctor Jesus, and in April of 2007; I pledged my entire salary in exchange for my mother’s health. God responded as He did with the woman having the issue of blood.

All that is required of us, is that one act of obedience, as we heed the voice of God and move by faith. His words remind us that by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53: 4-5). My friends you might be ailing in your body and nothing seems to work, just know that God is still performing miracles and His door is always open for those who are in need of a physician.
