Do Not Hope For Luck

Do Not Hope For Luck

Deuteronomy 28:3 (KJV)

“Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field”

Deuteronomy 28:3 (KJV)

Some people go through life groping in the dark, hoping that someday they might just be lucky and things will work out for them. You would hear them say things like, “If I’m lucky, I’ll get the contract.” “Maybe, if I’m lucky, I’ll get the appointment that I desire.”  They are hoping for luck in their finances, in their businesses, and even in their relationships. Such people have not been exposed to the light of God’s Word.

Do not hope for luck. Do not hope that God might just do something. No! As a child of God, you are already a blessed person.  This means nothing is too good for you or beyond your reach. After accepting Christ and being water-baptised, you do not function by luck, you walk in the Word.  The Word of God is your light: “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” – Psalm 119:105 (KJV).

The light of God in your spirit will direct you to be at the right place at the right time.  You will walk in paths preordained by God. The Light of God in you causes you to walk in divine favour.  He has the right people to help you, at the right time and in the right place. The Bible says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28.  With this understanding, say to yourself, “God has the right people to help me at the right time and in the right place.  He will guide me to them or He will guide them to me. We will meet, Hallelujah!”

Remember, He has already blessed you with everything you require for life and godliness2 Peter 1:3.  He has already blessed you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ – Ephesians 1:3 (KJV).  Live as a blessed man or woman, boy or girl.  Be blessing-conscious; do not hope for luck.

Prayer

Dear Father, I thank You for blessing me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places, in Christ Jesus.  I do not lack anything good because all things are mine. I am heir and joint heir with Jesus, my Lord.  Thank You because You have the right people to help me at the right time and in the right places.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
