Celebrate the Christ of Christmas – Part 3

“The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ).” – John 1:41 (NIV)

Every December, excitement radiates in families, businesses, communities, cities, and nations around the world. Everyone wants to celebrate and have a joyous time. Some however, have misunderstood the reason for the celebrations. They think it’s an ordinary party or fete. Nothing could be further from the truth.

December is the month that was chosen to celebrate the birth of our King, Jesus Christ. It must be said that He is not just a baby Who came and was offered a place in a manger, but brought salvation, peace, hope, and joy to all and is seeking an abiding place in the hearts of men. This is the real reason for the excitement in the Christian world. All of mankind can be saved once they believe that He (Jesus Christ) came for them and confess Christ is the Saviour with their mouth.

My friends, take a moment and ask yourself, “What does Christmas really mean to me?” When the answer manifests in your heart, make room for Him to have a dwelling place in your life where He no longer lives on the outside but where He can be at the centre. If perhaps you have already invited Him into your heart, maybe, just maybe, there is a need for decluttering to create more space to accommodate and celebrate Him this December. He is the only One worthy of celebration.
