What Does God Have in Store for Your Future?

What Does God Have in Store for Your Children’s Future?

“There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”

Proverbs 23:18 (NIV)

On what should we build our hope? Anyone who desires to build must endeavour to concentrate on a solid foundation. A plan with this in mind will secure a future that will stand the test of time.

Proverbs 10:28a; declares, “The hope of the righteous will be gladness…” (NKJV). The desire of the righteous must flow from a foundation built upon the Word of God, the name of Jesus, His blood, and the gift of His grace. Our dependence on God will guarantee victory in every situation. Today, many hearts are troubled due to the onslaught of the media and educators whose aim is to control the minds of our children and confuse them to create havoc in their future.

But God made a promise by saying, “I will”, “demonstrating His power. And in John 14:16-17a (NKJV), Jesus says, “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He May abide with you forever, the Spirit of Truth…”. When one reads these promises, one can do so in full assurance of the power and sovereignty of our God in the Bible.

In Acts 2:17, the Apostle Peter reminds us of Joel 2:28, when he says: “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out  My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions.” Yes, our children and the generations to follow will do great exploits once they remain faithful! God has not changed. He is the Almighty God.

Do not let the present prevailing world conditions trouble your minds. Do not foster negative thoughts about yourself or your family. What we expect manifests in our speech. Be careful what you speak over your children. Let’s start right now to claim the fulfilment of the Promises of God over their lives. Their future is secure in the hands of God. Do you believe this?

Prayer

Lord, today we claim Your promises and Your unconditional love. May we never give up on ourselves or any member of our family. We believe our children will reap the benefits of serving You, even as we lead them to You, our soon-coming King. Amen.
