God Can Redeem Time!

God Can Redeem Time!

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven”

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)

In the world of sports, there are provisions for timeout. But in real life, there are no timeouts. And yet, there are times when we waste so much time on things of little or no value. Everyone has the same number of hours in a day to use. Not even busy people are given extra hours in the day.

We all have the same measure of time every day. Can we redeem time? When something is redeemed, it is rescued or bought back. Therefore, we cannot redeem time in our strength. Time is in God’s hands. God exists in eternity, and therefore, time is not an issue for Him. It is a problem for us because we are limited in our time, and God isn’t.

God can arrange time to accomplish His eternal plan within our timeframe. One day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as one day. Clearly, God is not in a hurry, but we usually are. We need to be willing to adjust our limited schedule to his unlimited timelessness. Let’s pause, take a moment, and allow God to put our time in His hands.

Position yourself so that when your schedule and your clock ring out, you will have served your purpose for your life. Position yourself to realise it and not have any unnecessary delays. You do have time to wait; therefore, say to yourself you won’t waste any of your limited time, but you will accomplish all that you have from your limited timetable and purpose. Position yourself so that your time and God’s time cross at the precise moment He has for you to accomplish what You are created and called to do.

Prayer

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for redeeming time for me; my time is in Your hands. I invite Your time into my circumstances so that my time matters for both now and eternity. I want to redeem my time so that I do not waste it. Allow me to fulfill my purpose at Your precise moment, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
