In this life, the only way we are ever going to make any progress is through faith. There is no foundation of faith for us except in Christ Jesus. All of our actions and all the important things that will ever come to us will be because we have the Rock, Christ Jesus. When we are nestled on that Rock, there is no power that can ever move us.
In any area or principle of our faith, we must have something established in us to bring that faith forward. There is absolutely no establishment of faith outside of God’s Word. We cannot build on anything else but the Word of God, which in turn increases our faith. God’s Word says, “..faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17 – KJV). So we must put ourselves where we can hear His Word, thereby strengthening our faith.
Brethren, if there is anything that satisfies me, it is knowing that God’s Word is settled in heaven, as we read in Psalm 119:89. Seek God with your whole heart today and build up your faith.
Prayer
Father, my trust is in You, knowing that faith is Your watchword in every believer’s life. Lord, I am trusting You and depending on every word that comes out of Your mouth so that I can live. Help me to do Your will each day as I wake up, for without You, I perish in my life of faith. Thank You for taking me through, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
