A New Beginning With God

A New Beginning With God

Revelation 21:5 (KJV)

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” – Revelation 21:5 (KJV)

God’s promise is true. Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

No matter what race or age, gender or intelligence, colour or ethnicity, the gospel of Christ is for anyone and everyone. Christians are brand new people on the inside. The Holy Spirit gives us new life, and we are not the same anymore.

Jesus dramatically transforms the life of each person who comes to Him. He alone is able to meet someone’s spiritual needs. We are not reformed, rehabilitated, or reeducated. We are re-created (new creations – 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)) living in vital union with Christ. We do not merely turn over a new leaf, we begin a new life under a new Master.

Receiving Christ as Lord of your life is the beginning of life with Christ. But you must continue to follow His leadership by being rooted and grounded, built up and strengthened in the faith – Colossians 2:6-7 (KJV). Christ wants to guide you and help you with your daily problems. You can live for Him by:

  1. Committing your life and submitting your will to Him – Romans 12:1-2.
  2. Seeking to learn from Him, His life, and His teachings – Colossians 3:16.
  3. Recognising the Holy Spirit’s power in you and act – Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22.

By faith, we become part of God’s New Creation. The opportunity to be born of the Spirit of God, washed in Christ’s blood, and become a member of His body, is available to all. Let us always remember that in Christ we’re not the old model, repaired or mended. We’re born into a new creation; identified with Christ. Renew your minds in Him today.

Pray

Thank You, Lord, for new beginnings and unwavering provision. I pray that Your presence will be our portion and that Your peace will watch over us as we step into a new beginning. We cast all our cares and concerns to You; in Jesus’ name. Amen.
