A Victory Signal – Part 1

“May my prayer be set before You like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice” – Psalm 141:2 (NIV)

Are you aware that lifting hands in worship, praise, and adoration of God attracts blessings? Psalm 134:1-3 (NIV) says, “…Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord. May the Lord bless you from Zion…” When you lift your hands to God, you attract His blessings. He releases them, and divine power flows through your hands. The lifting of your hands to the Lord is a sign of your recognition of His grace and glory in your life.

The evening sacrifice was offered on the brazen altar in the Old Testament. The symbolism of this sacrifice is reflected in the lifting up of your hands in worship. When you lift your hands in worship, you please God more than all the bulls and goats sacrificed on that brazen altar in the Old Testament.

In 1 Timothy 2:8 (KJV), the Bible says, “I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath or doubting.” The Apostle Paul was referring to spiritual worship and offering praise to the Father from a joyful heart full of love and thanksgiving.

Have you erred in lifting your hands to worship the Father? Repent and ask for forgiveness. Right now, lift your hands and worship the Lord for His mercy, love, and kindness; tell Him how much you love Him. Remember, He did die and was resurrected for you.

Prayer

Holy Father, I repent for failing to lift my hands in worship to You. Lord, You alone are God, worthy of all adoration. You are Great and Mighty. Throughout all generations, You are the same: faithful, just, holy, righteous, pure and true. I love You, and I bless Your name, Lord, Amen.
