Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. NKJV
After the stoning of Stephen in Chapter 7 of Acts, the Church experienced horrific persecution from the Jews, including Saul who witnessed the act. Some disciples were filled with fear and hid, but Peter prevailed and continued to defend the Church. This angered King Herod and Peter was put in prison. Believers prayed constantly for Peter. He was miraculously delivered by an angel sent from God. Even the believers didn’t believe when they received the news of his deliverance.
Currently, we have no excuse. We have Hebrews 11:1 to guide us.
We could cast our minds to people who are in prisons of sin, sickness, poverty, depression and hopelessness. The Holy Spirit’s miraculous working power is available today. Yes, it’s possible that we could intercede and not recognize deliverance, but yet it is available. Let’s ask God to help us believe that all things are possible. The vilest offender can be delivered. Our relatives, family members, friends, colleagues, leaders, need our prayers. Let’s present our lives on the altar and believe Jesus for miracles when we fast and pray.
