Always Abiding in His Grace

“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for our God is a consuming fire” Hebrews 12:28-29 (KJV)

The above portion of Scripture reveals the greatest gift we have inherited, the unshakeable presence of God dwelling on the inside of us. Therefore, we should consider this a privilege and not a right; and always function from a position of grace and humility, according to the reminder in 2 Corinthians 4:7 (KJV), “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us”.

Saints of God, we must always remind ourselves that God has called us to do work on His behalf and therefore our primary responsibility daily is being thankful unto God for affording us the opportunity to serve in His name. It is incumbent that we demonstrate Christ and not ourselves. Rather, always be mindful of how we treat others and the things of God.

Friends, it is easy for one to become distracted and obnoxious by the level of attention and emphasis placed on you, avoid it and give God the glory. Why? We are merely chosen vessels of God and for that, we must be grateful.

Being a new convert you can easily shipwreck yourself, especially when God reveals Himself to you. It gives you that feeling that ‘I have arrived.’ Even those serving long in the ministry have to remain humble because it is God Who calls. Let us be certain of this one thing, we can do nothing in our own strength (John 5:30), but only through and with Him, and for that we must be thankful, daily.
