“Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” – Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)
To be blessed beyond measure is to experience the extreme goodness of God.
Psalms 31:19 encapsulates God’s concept of being blessed beyond measure. The psalmist David testifies, “How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you”. The aforementioned Scripture implies that in order to be blessed, we have to fear God, keep His commandments, and be a refugee in His camp.
The human mind cannot conceptualise what it means to be blessed beyond measure, but it indicates something that is immeasurable – too large, extensive, or extreme to calculate. It can be likened to counting grains of sand or stars in the night sky, as God asked Abram to do. Because of His immeasurable love, God sent his only begotten Son, Jesus, to die on the cross of Calvary for our sins (John 3:16). When we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we received His transformation from spiritual death to spiritual life and from eternal death to eternal life.
In Psalms 103:1-5, the psalmist David declared that the blessings of serving God are the forgiveness of our sins, the healing of all our diseases, the redemption of our lives from the pit, the crowning of the believers with His love and compassion, and the satisfaction of our desires with good things so that our youth is renewed like the eagles’. Of course, beloved, satan will test our faith, loyalty, commitment, and love for our Lord Jesus Christ. Whenever the devil puts our faith through different tests, trials, and temptations, know fully well that God has allowed that old serpent to process us so that we may be ready for the next level of promotion in the realm of the spirit and in our secular life.
Deuteronomy 28:1-13 stipulates all the blessings will come upon us and overtake us if we choose to obey the voice of the Lord our God. We shall be clothed with the anointed blessing of God, and that would cause us to experience bountiful blessings such as unprecedented growth in crops and livestock, divine protection, financial provision, wealth acquisition, His amazing grace in the local and international marketplace, and many more.
As Christians, once we are faithfully obedient to the Word of God, He will provide for us in His season, just, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” – Matthew 3:2 (NLT)
