Breaking Demonic Curses Over Church Families

#image_title

“If My people who are called by My name, will humble themselves,  and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)

Although the above-mentioned declaration by God was made over two thousand years ago, it is still relevant in today’s society. “If My people,” meaning Christians who are followers of Christ, “will humble themselves and pray,” some Christians have become proud, arrogant, and self-centered after God delivered them from poverty and enriched them financially. They have become gods unto themselves and believe that there is no need to pray anymore – not remembering that praying is the breath or life source of a Christian; “and turn from their wicked ways” – this is when we become self-righteous and hold unto the belief that we serve a forgiving God and once saved always saved (demonic philosophy). God promised that once the foregoing is accomplished, He will hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land.

The family of God is comprised of many family types, such as nuclear, single-parent, extended, etc. The New Testament tells us that Jesus Christ came and died on the cross, conquering the devil so that we can be free from curses (Galatians 3:13). Thus, as servants of God, we have the power to break curses. However, Christians are still defeated and afflicted by curses due to ignorance.

Rebecca Brown, M.D., and Daniel Yoder, authors of “Unbroken Curses,” said, “Countless families are plagued by conditions such as mental illnesses, alcoholism, physical illness, divorce, incest, and poverty. Often even those who come to the Lord are unable to break that unending cycle of devastation within their own families”. The authors further stated that “these problems affect whole churches. Many churches are marked by divorces or other such problems…Many (churches) struggle for years but never grow spiritually…They frequently split and often change pastors.” Seeking God’s face helps in this regard.

Other curses also affect the body of Christ, including demonic ancestral heritages of sickness, and covenants, having accursed objects in the home (Deuteronomy 7:25-26), tattoos of demonic symbols on one’s skin (Leviticus 19:28), handling unholy things (Leviticus 5:2-3), etc.

Brethren, it is house cleaning time. Jesus tells us that He has given us authority over satan and his kingdom (Luke 10:19). With authority comes responsibility. It is our responsibility to destroy any and all curses sent to us.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we repent for the sins of our forefathers who entered into demonic covenants that mortgaged our souls and descendants to the devil. In the name of Jesus, we destroy every covenant associated with this curse and command all demons associated with this curse to leave us right now. We sever every relationship with the servants of darkness and burn every accursed object that we brought into our home. God, cleanse us from all unrighteousness, in Jesus’s name, Amen!
