Building Up Your Most Holy Faith

“But you, dear friends, must build each other up in the most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit“ – Jude 1:20 (NLT)

When we believers assemble in the sanctuary of the Most High God and pray in the Holy Spirit as a spiritual house of faith, the structures and systems of demonic principalities and powers are broken, and the influences of evil are dispelled.

When believers pray in the Holy Ghost, chains of oppression, depression, and suppression are broken, and those bound are set free by the power of the Holy Spirit. When we pray together in the Holy Spirit, we affect the atmosphere, the hemisphere, and the stratosphere, making it impossible for wizards, witches, and warlocks to operate in the realm of the spirit.

Saints, even as we build ourselves up in the most Holy Faith, we are tearing down the strongholds of generational curses that have been allowed to operate in our lives because of demonic covenants made by our fore-parents (that we know not of). But the Spirit of God is omniscient, He knows all things.

It is a biblical fact that we can ask the Holy Spirit to intercede with us. Romans 8:26 (NIV) declares that “…the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” In other words, the Spirit of God prays with us passionately in ways that utterly transcend human language. There is also a spiritual injunction that mandates us to “…pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” – Ephesians 6:18 (NIV).

Believers, there are times when we approach the Throne of Glory breathlessly, spouting our urgent concerns according to the emotion of the moment. However, the Spirit can tell us what to pray or whom to pray for. When we pray, we don’t want to pray amiss. It is humanly possible for us to misjudge a situation and pray our emotions instead of praying a precise prayer that is inspired by the Holy Spirit. The next time there is such an occurrence, pray this prayer:

“Holy Spirit, I don’t know how to pray about this (situation stated), but You know all things; please help me in my weakness, and let me pray what is on Your mind and heart. Give me the thoughts and words to pray right now, in accordance with Your will, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
