“…I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people…a Saviour has been born to you…” – Luke 2:10-11 (NIV)
In Luke 2:10-11, the angel proclaimed that the good news of Jesus’s birth would cause great joy for all the people. Today, more than ever, this word still stands – Jesus’s birth is truly a reason for us to celebrate. In a world where people seem determined to follow their own path and where tragedy, conflict, and chaos are prevalent, we can often feel hopeless. However, this Scripture is a reminder to us that we must still hope in Christ Jesus. He is our Saviour. We still have an opportunity to experience joy.
Christ is our Saviour. He is God’s gift to us here on earth. He’s our means of escaping the dark realities that plague us in this world. So, as we enter this season of celebrating the birth of Christ, I urge each one to seek and hold fast to the salvation that Jesus made freely accessible to us so that we may be freed from the cares of this life and ascend into God’s Kingdom of love, joy, and peace.
I urge you to say a prayer, embark on a mission, or even be a financial blessing to those who need to hear the message that a Saviour is born so that they may receive joy in this season and beyond. He came for all.
Prayer
Father, we thank You for the blessed hope we have in Christ Jesus and for the joy You bring us. We pray that, even now, that joy will increase and overflow in our spirits as we celebrate this Christmas season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
