“…created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained…” — Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)

Imagine having a GPS that guides you through life’s twists and turns — a system that knows your exact location, your destination, and the best route to get there. Sounds impressive, right?

The good news is that you already have a GPS: God’s Positioning System — His divine guidance. He’s the One who:

  • Knows your beginning and end: Your past, present, and future are all in His hands.
  • Sets your course: He has ordained the good works you’ll walk in and has a plan to fulfil them.
  • Guides you through uncertainty: Even when you don’t know what’s ahead, God does — and He’s always working everything out for your good.

I’ve tested God’s faithfulness many times. Each time He promoted me to a more complex role, He had already positioned someone familiar to make my transition easier. That familiar face helped balance resistance from the new teams and champion my ideas, as they had already seen me succeed. This is the God who goes before us — just as He did for David (2 Samuel 5:24).

I’ve also seen God close doors. Twice, I travelled abroad for interviews for the same role in a regional organisation — and twice, I wasn’t successful. Later, I understood: my marriage wasn’t ready for that shift at that time. Yet, five years later, God’s GPS kicked in and delivered me even further than I initially conceived. My course was already set, and I was not aware.

Be encouraged today as you seek Him. God’s GPS is always on, always guiding, and always working in your life, but you must:

  1. Trust His Sovereignty: Know that He’s in control, even when life gets messy.
  2. Follow His guidance: Seek His wisdom and direction in every area of your life.
  3. Walk in faith: Step out in trust, knowing He’s got you covered.
