Christ for Every Crisis – Part 2

I cried out to God with my voice — To God with my voice;

And He gave ear to me.

Psalm 77:1 (NKJV)

In Part 1 we learnt how a crisis develops our confidence, that a crisis is not going to last, it is temporary. 2 Corinthians 4:17 says, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”. Replace your panic and fear of your circumstances with prayer. God will not abandon you; He will not let go of you; you will not be destroyed by your crisis. This is not the end of your story because you don’t know what the future holds but you do know Who holds the future.

God is in control. He is bigger than your crisis. He has the answers to questions we haven’t thought of. Where do you go when the crisis seems to be more than you can endure? Where do you go when your dreams are shattered? You go to the One Whom the seas and winds obey. He is the Rock! He is the Lord! He is our Saviour! Romans 8:28 is still true “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

So whatever is your challenge, financial, spousal, or familial; you can cry to Him at this time, not fearing but focusing on Christ. When our hearts are fainting and overwhelmed, the mighty towering Rock of safety is steadfast. Let’s develop our character of endurance as we grow in the Kingdom of God through every crisis. He would never abandon us.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You are indeed the God of everything. Nothing catches you by surprise. Thank you for being my rock and my fortress throughout my difficult moments. I will continue to trust you in every situation, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
