Christ is Our Source – Part 2

Christ is Our Source – Part 2

Psalm 119:9 (NIV)

How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to Your Word.

Psalm 119:9 (NIV)

The verse above can relate to a young man, a young woman, or anyone growing in Christ. The Word of God is absolutely important in every phase of our lives.

Whenever one is about to read, the Holy Ghost must be invited to minister to us as we meditate. The Holy Ghost will open the eyes of our hearts and help us to understand and obey. To begin, it’s good to read the book of John. It’s an excellent source.

The Word of God is described as milk and solid food. (1 Corinthians 3:1-2). An infant in Christ must use milk in order to have strong bones and a strong system that will endure solid food. We will learn in time that the enemy was not pleased to release us to become children of God. The enemy’s kingdom is one of darkness. On the other hand, the Kingdom of God is one of Light. Jesus reveals Himself as that Light that lights the world – (John 8:12). The Holy Spirit reveals that the Word is a lamp and a light – (Psalm 119:105). A child of God needs to meditate day and night on the Word – our Source – (Psalm 1:2)

God’s Word never changes. It contains Truth from Genesis to Revelation. In Part one of this devotional, we learnt that prayer is essential. Now we’ve learnt that reading God’s Word is important. To grow in Christ one must persevere, be patient, and be intentional. There is a race that is set before each of us. There is a prize to be won. To be victorious one must pray and read the Word of God daily.
