Glorify God in Your Actions

“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord and Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth is in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble…” – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (KJV)

Brethren, we must never take for granted the privilege of sitting at God’s feet. Rather, capitalise on every opportunity to demonstrate those teachings towards our fellow saints and the unsaved. It is important to recognise that our tests and trials do not go unnoticed by Him, since the Potter’s hand is always present. Even though we may not sense it at times, the Father of mercy and grace ensures that someone is there to coach, comfort, and show love during your moments of despair. Therefore, it is incumbent upon us to create the same chain reaction with each other when faced with difficulties.

Fellow saints of God, it is not our place to make our brother or sister feel condemned or to pronounce judgement, forgetting that we were once in a similar situation. Understand, this is not the will of our Heavenly Father and not the desired fruit of His teaching. Yahweh has given us the necessary tools, which will result in bringing glory unto God, as we choose to build confidence and faith and not tear down, encourage the individual to persevere rather than discourage. Empathise as Christ did with us, and not be quick to rebuke. Create an environment for peace that fosters spiritual growth, strength, and stability, so that people stand rather than inflict further wounds or discomfort.

Remember, all of our fingers are not equal; likewise, our maturity and faith in Christ. Thus, ensure that our words are seasoned with salt, which will help that person overcome their trials rather than fall deeper.

Brethren, let us endeavour to become each other’s keeper, while exercising patience, understanding and wisdom. The Word of God reminds us that the least we do unto our brothers and sisters, we do unto Him. We are called to serve each other, inspire and win souls for Christ through our daily acts of kindness, soft speech and Christ-like attitudes. All of this is learned at the feet of Jesus.
