“Now unto Him Who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be glory…” – Ephesians 3:20-21 (KJV)
As Christians, we believe and understand that prayer is simply our way of life. We understand that through prayer, we connect with our God, draw strength from Him, get directions, insights, and so much more. Through our prayers and faith in God’s ability, the way is paved for miracles. But what if sometimes it seems like God is not answering our prayer?
Let us examine God’s pattern and consistency:
Jabez prayed…and God granted that which Jabez requested (1 Chronicles 4:10).
Solomon prayed…and God granted that which Solomon requested (2 Chronicles 1:7-13).
· Gideon prayed…and God did as Gideon requested (Judges 6:33-40).
· Hannah prayed…and God granted Hannah’s request (1 Samuel 1:9-20).
· Job prayed…and God accepted Job’s request (Job 42:7-8).
· Jehoshaphat prayed…and God delivered His people (2 Chronicles 20:3-30).
Regardless of our request, whether it is for personal upliftment, wisdom, a sign from God, child/children, mercy for relatives or friends, or deliverance from your enemies, God still answers prayers. We’ve seen His unwavering pattern and can be assured He won’t stop now!
Malachi 3:6 (NKJV) reminds us: “For I am the Lord, I do not change…”. We can, therefore, rest in God’s unchanging nature, giving glory to the only wise, all-powerful, all-seeing, all-knowing God who continues to answer prayers in His wise and perfect timing! Hallelujah!
Prayer
Almighty God, we worship You, for You are God, and You do not change. Thank You for hearing and answering the prayers of Your servants, and thank You for hearing and answering our prayers. We give You all glory, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
