“…The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.” Ecclesiastes 9:11 (NIV)
The above Scripture verse allows us to see that with God, there is no prejudice when it comes to His provision. Remember that our status in life does not determine how the Father treats us by providing for our needs or opportunities.
It is important to note that God moves on our unwavering faith and continuous obedience to Him, as demonstrated in Genesis 22:9, where Abraham willingly tied his son up in an attempt to sacrifice him. God was pleased with his faithfulness and revealed the ram that was already in the thicket. Be reassured that God always has a plan in place for our lives, even before we are aware of the need.
Therefore, while praying for God’s provision to manifest, we must operate with discernment to capitalise on that opportunity whenever it comes. So often, we spend the majority of the time planning and praying, which is necessary for the process, but failing to execute. Understand, no matter how grim or impossible that situation seems, avoid falling into a state of doubt and passiveness, but adopt an attitude of positiveness and proactiveness.
Let today be when we stand on God’s Word with confidence and pitch that business idea or that dream. Begin penning that bestselling book, boldly engage that bank and obtain that mortgage/loan, confidently step into that examination room and deliver, or gracefully approach your employer concerning that well-deserved promotion or incentive, knowing that Jehovah Jireh has already made provision by opening that door for you to access. Time and chance happen to us all.
