God Hears Our Heart’s Cry

“Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.” – Psalm 128:1-2 (NIV)

One day, I was observing my children as they left for school when the Holy Spirit nudged my heart. I then began to reflect on God’s faithfulness and the wonderful things He has done in our lives. One of the things that we often do as believers is fail to acknowledge that God hears our heart’s cry. Even before we speak, He has the answer.

Our God is great and greatly to be praised. For every season of our children’s lives, God provided, and He continues to provide. One of the mind-blowing things about God is that He often provides in advance. Many times, we limit God. Today, I ask that you place your confidence in Him, for He’s able to do more than we can desire.

I decided to share this testimony of God’s faithfulness because the Word of God says, we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). Our family meditates on Psalm 128, and I see this Psalm come alive daily in our lives. Today, I encourage you to see God in the little things showing Himself great and mighty in your family.

He’s not only Jehovah Jireh; He can also be Jehovah Shalom to those in need of peace, Jehovah Nissi to those in need of a Champion, or Jehovah Rohi, the Shepherd. Trust God to become what He needs to be in your life today. He’s our Provider.

Prayer

Father God, today I’m grateful for Your loving care for my family. I ask that You intervene in the lives of everyone reading this encouragement. Let them experience Your love and care, as well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
