God is With us as we Journey Through Life’s Pathways
Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” – Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
A promise is a declaration or assurance that one will do something or that a particular thing will happen. Once a promise is made to someone, it should be kept, but sometimes human beings fail and are unable to keep their promise for one reason or another, however, when God makes a promise to us, know for sure without a shadow of a doubt that He will keep it. He is forever faithful to the end.
The promise given in Deuteronomy 31:6 by God to the nation Israel and Joshua before they entered the promised land served as an encouragement to them, they were told that they should not be afraid of the enemies that would come up against them on the way to their destination. In like manner, as we pursue the path to fulfilling purpose, obstacles and challenges will present themselves, but we must hold on to the promise of God which says ‘He will never leave us nor forsake us’. It is still relevant and applicable to our lives today just as it was for the nation of Israel. God is concerned about His children’s well-being as we navigate this path. He still speaks to us.
The Lord has allowed us to see a new year, therefore He has good things in store for us. The way maker, miracle worker, and promise keeper will open doors for us which we must enter, but along the way, the enemy will try to distract us and take us off course but resist him by being strong and courageous and do not be terrified by anything negative or contrary that will arise. God is with us and we can rest assured in His promises, He cannot fail. He is always true to His Word.
