God Recognises The Lowly – Part 3

“…I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” – John 8:12 (NKJV)

In spite of the excitement and glitter at this time of the year, many realise that it is a time when HOPE is revived and LOVE is shared with everyone. Provision for those in need is also intensified.

Christ came to do and give and we praise God that we can understand. Now is the time to move from understanding to acting deliberately just as Jesus did. Luke 19:10 says, “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” We are to go and seek the lost. The act of giving (the Good News) is the spirit attached to what Christ came to give to the people of this world.

Proverbs 19:17 says, “He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given.” God is no man’s debtor and he will honour His Word.

We are reminded in Matthew 5:14-16, that we are lights on a hill that cannot be hidden, an entire city. And as such, we are to let our light shine throughout the world so that men may see Christ in us and glorify the Father in heaven. Otherwise put, we are to lead the people immersed in ignorance, sin, and misery to life and salvation. We are to spiritually enlighten all of humanity.

Let us go out and shine as bright as the star that led the wise men to where Jesus was. Let’s lead all to our Saviour and King.
