“…Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord…neither faints nor is weary…” Isaiah 40:28 (NKJV)
God is love. He is an everlasting God. The prophet Jeremiah emphasises this in Jeremiah 31:3. God assures us of the constancy of His love and His desire to be drawn near to us. Therefore, throughout life’s journey, He is always present (and desires the best).
Moreover, God has commanded us to love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. (Do you know God?) Whoever does not love does not know God because God is love (1 John 4:7-8). God’s love is unconditional, He assures us, but to remain close to Him, we must also love each other. The Spirit of Truth is known by love, and God has already given us His only begotten Son to confirm His love. We do not have to do anything to earn His love; we just reciprocate and follow His example. What an assurance! What sacrifice!
After the fall of man, God activated a powerful sacrificial plan to save us from our sins. Job 19:25 (NIV) states, “I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand upon the earth.” This sacrifice was for our redemption and salvation because of God’s everlasting love. His love extends throughout the ages for all mankind. Whoever believes in God and repents from their sins has eternal life and God’s everlasting love. Psalm 90:2 (KJV) says, “…from everlasting to everlasting thou art God.” Yes, we are assured of His love forever.
Friends, seek the Lord always. He is happy when we make Him the centre of our lives and is disappointed when we fail to call upon Him. Just as we call our earthly friends, we must talk to and with God often. He is concerned about every aspect and detail of our lives and wants to bless us all the time.
God, our Heavenly Father, is always eager to help us with our daily challenges at work, in our business, and in our family life. This is because of His constant love. Let’s allow Him to speak to us and direct us along life’s narrow way. Our heavenly Father loves us with a deep, affectionate, lasting love deeper than the love of anyone.
