God’s Love Towards Us

God’s Love Towards Us

1 John 1:9 (NKJV)

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse  us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)

God has forgiven you, is forgiving you, and will forgive you through your personal confession of your sins to Him. His plan for the redemption of His world is to seek and to save. Thus, being saved from our sins, we can have peace, joy, and ‘eternal rest’ in Him.

Mark 11:25-26 (KJV) says, “And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” We must remember that forgiveness is a ‘decision, ‘ but trust is earned, so let’s trust God and be faithful to His plan. Before you pray, forgive!

Ephesians 1:7 tells us that in God, we have redemption through Jesus’ blood and the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. Be it known, therefore, that through Jesus, we have the forgiveness of sins (Acts 13:38). This demonstrates His great love, care, and concern towards us.

We read in 1 Timothy 1:15 that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, which we all are; hence, let us release others, forgive them, love one another, and move on in  Christ.

We can begin this journey by repeating the Lord’s Prayer:

“Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” Amen.

Lord, thank You for Your unconditional love and acceptance of us. Thank You for not judging us as we confess our sins to you. I will strive be emulate You, Lord, and forgive others.
