“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning…” – Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV)
Let the thought of God’s goodness be constantly in our minds, thinking about His blessings and favour in our lives.
When we learn to recall the good things God has done for us, we strengthen our faith and are encouraged.
When God protects us, intervenes in our circumstances, or brings unexpected successes, we ought to set those acts as stones of remembrance and then remember them on a regular basis. When we become aware of God’s goodness inside us, our faith will grow, and our joy will overflow. That is a great way to live.
We become more conscious of the abundance of God’s inexhaustible supply, and we do not have to handle all the pressures that make demands of our lives. Our heavenly Father takes care of us. Hold on to the promise in Matthew 6:31-32 (NKJV), which assures us, “Do not worry…for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”
We will face some things we do not understand, and we will have doubts, but we can stay in peace, knowing that everything is working according to God’s will. We are not at the mercy of fate or happenstance.
Long before we were born, God laid out the plan and purpose for our lives. We do not have to worry about how something can happen or how we are going to get through. Our Sovereign God has already not only planned it but will also make it happen. It is not up to us; it is up to Him. We can rest in His plan since God’s will for our life is unstoppable.
Prayer
Father God, I am eternally grateful that You called us out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Help us to keep walking in Your light. My heart is overflowing with thanksgiving for the perpetual flow of the blood of Your beloved son Jesus which keeps on cleansing us from all our sins. Thank you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
