He Walked With God – Part 2

He Walked With God – Part 2

Amos 3:3 (KJV)

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” – Amos 3:3 (KJV)

To walk with God is to be in total agreement with Him. This agreement is not simply to slavishly follow His every command without question. Even Jesus Himself wished for the ‘cup to pass,’ but almost immediately said, “Nevertheless, not My will, but Thine, be done.” – Luke 22:42 (KJV).

Enoch didn’t spend all His time communicating with God that he didn’t have time for anything else. He had sons and daughters. Thus,, he fulfilled his fatherly and husbandly responsibilities. He also had a ministry and fulfilled God’s purpose of telling others about the Kingdom. Jude 1:14 records, And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints”

And finally, Enoch had faith. Hebrews 11:5 reads, “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated Him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”

Brothers, if you and I desire to please God like Enoch did, we must begin our walk with Him or improve our walk with Him. We may not be translated as Enoch was, but we can ensure that when our time on earth is over, we will walk with Him in Paradise. Hallelujah!

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, conscious that we are not worthy to walk with You, for You are King of kings and Lord of lords, but we know You love us with everlasting love, and You want to walk with us. Grant, dear Father, that our lives may please You so that we can walk with You daily and someday, in Paradise. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
