Ho, ho, ho. It’s no Joke, It’s the devil’s Yoke – Part 2

“And no wonder! For even Satan transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness…”

2 Corinthians 11:14 (NKJV)

It is interesting to note that the video clip entitled, “The Dark Origins of Santa Claus”, alluded to a Robin Good Fellow as a half man, half demon. The name “Robin” was a medieval nickname for the devil and his trademark laugh was “Ho, Ho, Ho” during the 16th Century. A laugh that Santa Claus later took on as his trademark, while the elves accompanying Santa Claus are said to be disembodied spirits used in magic and sorcery and are the principal agents in séances.

Some countries in Europe identified Santa Claus by his original name Sinter Klaus and idolised him by depicting him flying on a magical flying goat, while others have him flying on a magical white horse; either way, he is always accompanied by dark helpers, known as Krampus, a half-demon monster that punishes children at Christmas time.

Research revealed that the word Krampus is believed to have originated in Germany, and is derived from the German word “Krampen” which means “claw”. In other European cultures, Sinter Klaus is known as satan himself.

Many parents have deliberately deceived their children into believing that Santa Claus was responsible for providing their gifts when they (the parents) were responsible for purchasing them. Some children are now crushed under the realisation that their parents tricked them, and now when they try to teach them about the Bible they question everything.

In the Bible, light has always symbolised holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, grace, and God’s revelation. By contrast, darkness has been associated with evil, sin, and despair. Satan is aware of this fact, which is why he masquerades himself as an angel of light. Don’t become a party to this yoke. Let our Christmas celebrations be grounded in holiness and goodness.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that Jesus is the reason for the season. Lord, let more families come together in prayers and supplication before God, thanking Him for sending His Son into this world to save mankind from sin and damnation.

We repent for causing our children to focus on the Santa Claus fallacy instead of the Lord Jesus Christ and pull down every demonic stronghold of the devil in our homes. We bind them and cast them into outer darkness, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
