Inspiration  of Hope

He hath shewed thee, o man, what is good; and what doth the Lord requires of thee…to walk humbly with thy God? – Micah 6:8 (KJV)

God expects us, along with the help of the Holy Spirit, to treat our fellow brothers and sisters with understanding and patience and demonstrate righteous judgement.

Many times, without sufficient information, facts, or evidence, we act self-righteous and condemn others. We ought to pray first for grace and not allow such things to be numbered among us; we are the light of the world. Remember, every soul is precious in the sight of God. Furthermore, Romans 12:3 (KJV) says, “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”

Therefore, as witnesses for Christ on the earth, it is imperative that our love toward each other not be confrontational, conditional, and materialistic but rather allow the Word that’s on the inside of us to help effect change in others’ lives.

Today, many are leading a loveless life due to rejection, brokenness, and, most importantly, the absence of Christ. Understand that while money answers our physical and material needs, it cannot buy true love and happiness, which comes only from God. I Corinthians 13:1 admonishes that if we speak with the tongues of men and of angels and do not have charity (love), we are like sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal, i.e., we are only making noise and are not serious.

Thus, to avoid mistreating others and render good service, we must strive daily to walk humbly before God and man. Remember that humility is not thinking less of yourself; it’s thinking of yourself as Christ thinks of you, as demonstrated when He walked on the earth.

Brethren, we need to function as that beacon of light, that true ambassador for Christ, and that inspiration of hope. It is time!
