A commitment to faith, leadership, and youth development defines the ministry of Assistant Pastor Martin Massiah, whose passion for guiding the next generation continues to shape lives within and beyond the church.

Assistant Pastor Martin Massiah was appointed Youth Pastor at First Assembly of God, Wortmanville, on 15 February 2026, where he oversees the Youth Ministry Department. He is passionate about guiding and empowering young people in their spiritual and personal development. Raised in a family deeply involved in ministry, he has spent much of his life serving others and making an impact.

His academic background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business from St. George’s University in Grenada, a Master of Science Degree in International Business from Hult International Business School in Boston, and a Master of Business Administration from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in Washington, D.C. He also completed a graduate course in Marketing at Harvard University.

Assistant Pastor Massiah currently serves as Administrator of Generation Next, a non-governmental organisation offering community development programmes and training opportunities that improve the lives of all who engage; as Director of Marketing and Commercial Strategy at the Guyana Football Federation; and as the founder of Massiah Capital, an entrepreneurial venture. He is supported in ministry by his wife, Dr. Anella Massiah, and their son.

When asked what Scripture motivates him, Assistant Pastor Massiah pointed to Nehemiah 6:9, specifically the New King James Version, which reads, “For they all were trying to make us afraid, saying, ‘Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done.’ Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.
