Dr Wilbert Lee is the Executive Pastor of First Assembly of God, Wortmanville, where he became a member in 1985. He works primarily with youths, including Nulli Secundus and youth ministry, and coordinates the church’s many social outreach projects. He also serves in Sunday School, Men’s Ministry, the Royal Rangers, Evangelism, and Outreach.

Dr Lee is a former lecturer at the University of Guyana and a retired colonel of the Guyana Defence Force. Academically, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Guyana, a Bachelor’s degree in Bible and Theology from the Caribbean School of Theology, a Master’s degree in Strategic Defense Studies from the National Defense University in Washington, D.C., and a Doctoral degree in Transformational Leadership (DTL) from Bakke Graduate University in Seattle, Washington, United States. In addition, Dr Lee has graduated from prestigious military schools in the United States and Canada, where he has completed several courses of study. Dr Lee has also graduated from the Haggai Leadership Institute in Maui, Hawaii and is the recipient of the Military Service Medal and the Military Efficiency Medal, both of which are National Awards. 

Dr Wilbert Lee’s passions and interests include Leadership Studies, International Affairs, Guyanese and West Indian History, Politics, Reading, Travel, Adventure, and Outdoor Sports. 

In addition, he leverages his education and experience to mentor and empower young people and is especially passionate about helping the underprivileged. His Youth Ministry work is exemplified at Generation Next, a non-profit organisation, where he volunteers as Pastor and mentors a group of over one hundred youths.

Dr Lee and Elder June Ann, his wife of over 30 years, share two accomplished children: Robert Earl Arlington, a medical doctor and Shaunette Hermonica Ann, a certified educator. The couple also earned the title of Grandparents quite recently to Ms. Ruth Elizabeth Alexis, the daughter of their son Robert. 

Dr Lee stands firm on Philippians 4:13, the biblical verse that says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
