Dr Paul Benjamin is a pastor who wears many caps within the First Assembly of God local church but serves primarily as the church’s Finance Administrator while bearing ministerial responsibilities of  Worship Leader and Co-Leader for the Deliverance Ministry.

He was called to serve as an Assistant Pastor in the local assembly on January 25, 2015, and obtained credentials from the Assemblies of God, Guyana, in April 2021.

Dr Benjamin first came to First Assembly of God Wortmanville in April 1996 and, over time, became actively involved in various ministries. However, his love for music and worship placed him in the Worship Ministry, where he continues to serve.

Pastor Benjamin holds a doctorate degree in Transformational Leadership from Bakke University, where he also earned his Master of Arts degree in Social & Civic Entrepreneurship. He earned his Bachelor of Social Sciences in Management from the University of Guyana. Additional studies to support his ministry and call in the assembly include a Diploma in Christian Education from the Assemblies of God (AOG) Bible College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Theology from the Caribbean School of Theology, AOG. He leverages his education and service experience in the administrative functions of the church. 

Dr Benjamin is married to Deaconess Tracy Inez Benjamin, who supports him throughout his ministry and work. He takes encouragement in serving from Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Deaconess Benjamin serves the ministry as a protocol officer and Assistant Treasurer to the Sunday School Department. She has been a professional Banker for more than 30 years with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and a Diploma in Accounting from the University of Guyana. Her studies also include a Diploma in Biblical Studies from the International School of Ministry.

She believes, as the Scripture suggests, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength… For with God nothing shall be impossible” – Philippians 4:13, Luke 1:37.
