Reverend Anthony Michael Semple is a Senior Assistant Pastor at First Assembly of God Wortmanville in Georgetown, Guyana. He has been in Music and Pastoral ministry for more than thirty years. He hails from Meadowbrook Gardens and grew up in a household that practised their faith in God. Reverend Semple is one of the youngest Reverends ordained by the Assemblies of God in Guyana.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible and Theology from the Caribbean School of Theology (CST) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Guyana. He also holds several certificates in music education from the Royal School of Music in London.
Rev. Semple has oversight of several portfolios, including Prayer, Deliverance Ministry, and the Creative and Performing Arts Ministry. He also assists the Presiding Bishop in the areas of counselling, ministry of the Word, the dedication of babies, baptisms, and funerals. He is a licensed marriage officer. Beyond the local assembly, he currently serves as a member of the Georgetown Minister’s Fellowship and supports Intercessors for Guyana by coordinating the ministry of worship and music for their national initiatives. He trains and mentors musicians for service in the Kingdom.
He is ably supported in ministry by his wife of seventeen years, Elder Rochelle Semple. In addition to serving on the Church Board as an Elder, she is an Assistant Administrator at First Assembly of God Church with responsibility for finance and data. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible and Theology from the Caribbean School of Theology as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Guyana. She ministers in the Intercessory, Helps, and Protocol & Hospitality departments in the local church and serves as Vice President of the Guyana Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows (GAMWMW) nationally and for the Georgetown Chapter.
