Reverend Winston Assanah is a Senior Assistant Pastor at First Assembly of God Wortmanville in Georgetown, Guyana, and has been in ministry for more than thirty years. He hails from the East Coast of Demerara, born to Pastors of a Full Gospel fellowship.

He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Transformational Leadership from Bakke University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from the Caribbean School of Theology (CST), and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Guyana.  Rev. Assanah is currently reading for a dual Master’s Degree in Theology at Global University and in Transformational Leadership at Bakke University. He is also an educator, certified by the Cyril Potter College of Education (CPCE). 

Rev. Assanah has oversight of several portfolios, including church administration, marriages, media, outstations, and Friday evening prayer meetings within the local church. He currently serves as National Youth Ministries Director of the Assemblies of God in Guyana, a post held over the last 12 years, with responsibility for mentoring the next generation of leaders. He facilitates several international speaking assignments, hosts the popular ‘Gospel Plane’ programme on the radio at 93.1FM, and is a Director and Secretary of the Fallen Heroes Foundation, supporting families of police servicemen and women. 

He serves alongside his wife, Minister Karen Assanah, who is equally passionate about the local church’s vision “… To pioneer, train, develop and empower all peoples especially children and youth to live a purpose-driven life.”

Minister Karen Assanah is a banker by profession and serves on the Church Board as a Deaconess. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of London, and a Diploma in Banking from the Institute of Canadian Bankers. She provides advisory services on church finance and mentors young women. Minister Karen leverages her professional experience to inspire believers to use their knowledge in personal financial management to seize opportunities for wealth creation.
