Assistant Pastor Lemar Williams was appointed as one of two Youth Pastors at First Assembly of God Wortmanville on February 15, 2026. A member of the church for more than a decade, he previously served as a Pastoral Intern from March 2022, receiving pastoral training through research assignments, intercession, and panel participation on the church’s online and televised programme, Choices, while understudying the senior pastor and elders.
Assistant Pastor Williams holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree with honours from the University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus, and a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School. He also holds certifications in Electrical Wiring and Installation and Information Technology and serves as an Attorney-at-Law in a corporate environment.
At the national level, Assistant Pastor Williams serves as the Marketing Lead for the Assemblies of God Youth Ministries in Guyana, supporting the promotion of National Youth Ministry initiatives.
He is supported in ministry by his wife, Merissa Rachael Williams. Assistant Pastor Williams enjoys reading, travelling, and sports, particularly athletics, football, and chess. As he serves, his guiding scripture is Proverbs 15:22: “Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors, they are established.”
