My Posture, My Victory

“Hear my voice when I call, Lord; be merciful to me and answer me.” — Psalm 27:7 (NIV)

Life often presents us with difficult seasons, heavy burdens, and moments of uncertainty. During such times, what sustains us is not only our circumstances but also our posture before God. Many success stories remind us that attitude makes a significant difference, and this truth is evident throughout Scripture. One powerful example is the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-33.

How do you see yourself while waiting on God? Your attitude matters greatly. Complaining, blaming others, and dwelling on negativity will not sustain you. Instead, keep your heart posture fixed on Jesus. Hebrews 12:2 (KJV) reminds us: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…” Even in suffering, Jesus endured because He saw the victory beyond the cross.

Do you see yourself finishing strong? What does your faith look like in the midst of your trials? Spending time in God’s Word and in His presence makes all the difference. Romans 10:17 (KJV) declares, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Faith grows when we continually focus on God rather than our problems.

The woman with the issue of blood had heard of Jesus and believed that a single encounter with Him could change her life. Jairus also believed that if Jesus came to his house, his daughter would live (Mark 5:21-43). Both individuals faced desperate situations, yet their heart posture positioned them for victory. They chose faith over fear and hope over despair.

According to the customs of that time, the woman should not have been among the crowd. Yet she refused to allow human limitations to define her outcome. Sometimes society, circumstances, or even our own fears try to confine us, but determination and faith in God can lead us into victory.

Victory may look different for each person, but your posture will influence your outcome. When your eyes remain on Christ, your waiting season becomes a place where faith is strengthened, and hope is renewed.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, as we wait in Your presence, help us to keep our eyes fixed on You. Give us wisdom, strength, and endurance for every season of life. Let our hearts remain steadfast in faith and hope. We pray Your blessing that maketh rich, and addeth no sorrow with it, according to Proverbs 10:22. Thank You, Lord, for Your blessings and faithfulness toward us. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
