Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered…I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin.” – Psalm 32:1-5 (NKJV)
In Psalm 32, we get an insight into David’s cry for forgiveness after he would have sinned.
David was a man after God’s own heart. He continuously sought God’s presence. He allowed himself to bare his heart before the Lord, allowing nothing to affect his praise and worship of God. I implore you brethren to allow nothing to affect the pure worship of God in your lives. As you seek God daily, lay aside every weight, and sin which so easily ensnares us, and run with endurance the race that is laid out before us – (Hebrews 12:1 – NKJV).
We can never change our past, but there is hope for newness in Christ with every tomorrow. You don’t have to wait for your ‘tomorrow’ either if you sin during the day. Simply go to Jesus and repent like David. Gain a new start by His grace.
Sometimes the Holy Spirit nudges us about a particular matter, we can find rest in Him when we repent. Whether you’re sitting at your desk or walking along the street, Jesus is right there waiting to hear from you, to commune with you anytime, anywhere.
What a privilege we have as believers. Let us not hinder our relationship with Jesus by staying away. There is nothing that can separate us from God’s love – (Romans 8:38 – 39 – NKJV).
