No Battle, No Victory

“But thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 15:57 (NIV)

Today, as we go through our battles, let us be encouraged that it is through these battles we can have victories. Through these battles, we have opportunities to conquer. Through these battles, we can see who  God truly is. Because of these battles, we can testify of the power of God. No battle, no victory! The songwriter said, “If I never had a problem,  how would I know that God can solve them … through it all, I’ve learned to trust in Jesus, I’ve learned to trust in God, I’ve learned to depend upon His Word.”

The greatest tool we can use as we go through life is our faith in God. True victory is achieved through faith in God. Our faith and trust in God will help us overcome sin, bring forth triumphs, dumbfounding miracles, deliverance, strength to stay the course, and so much more — like Joseph in Genesis 37 – 50 and Moses and the children of Israel in Exodus 14:13-14

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son…” (NKJV). Because of that love, we can say, “…thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1  Corinthians 15:57). Brethren, victory is a gift from God made possible through Jesus Christ, and we already have it!

Whatever the battle, “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord” (Proverbs 21:31 -NIV). We should note that it is not by our own strength and abilities that we achieve victory; it’s by relying on God.

Be encouraged, therefore, to surrender everything to God – our desires, our plans, and our ambitions. Allow God, our Battle Axe (Jeremiah 51:20), and the Lion of Judah (Revelation 5:5) to fight for us and give us victory again and again!

Prayer

Almighty God, we are thankful that You are with us in every battle. Thank You for not forgetting or forsaking us. We surrender our will and our way to You, knowing that You will lead and guide us through it all in the name of Jesus. Amen!
