Poverty is not Your Portion – Part 1

Poverty is not Your Portion – Part 1

Proverbs 22:7 (NIV)

“The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.” Proverbs 22:7 (NIV)

Sometimes in life, you experience hardships. One area of struggle is finance. If you constantly find yourself in debt, if you are always borrowing and cannot pay back, can never cover your expenses, and you just cannot account for the money you receive, then you need to stop and do a self-examination because once you continue in this manner, poverty will step in. Sometimes the root of these financial struggles is linked to a generational curse.

A generational curse is an attitude or behavioural pattern in your life that affects you negatively. This is a result of sinful acts committed by your ancestors and the consequences are now evident in the lives of the generations they produced. If you pay keen attention to immediate and extended family members, you will notice that they have similar struggles. Once this truth is embraced, it means that what you are experiencing is deeply rooted in the spiritual realm.  In addition to lifestyle changes you must make, spiritual counsel and breakthrough prayers must be pursued diligently for change to occur.

When you follow the above recommendations, you are moving in the right direction for the curse to be broken from your life and the generations that are in your loins. I beseech you to bring your financial struggles to the throne room of God and submit to Godly principles. Know without a shadow of doubt that nothing is too hard for the Lord (Jeremiah 32:27 – NIV) and rest assured that your breakthrough is at hand.
