Poverty is not Your Portion – Part 3

Poverty is not Your Portion – Part 3

Proverbs 13:22a (NKJV)

“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.” Proverbs 13:22a (NKJV)

Breaking generational curses from your life, in general, is something that every believer must seek to do, no one should live below the standard that God has outlined in His Word. When we would have submitted to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and received our deliverance from financial curses, we are now in a position to carry out the mandate of Proverbs 13:22 which states that we should leave an inheritance for future generations.

It is important for us as kingdom citizens to pave the way for success for all the generations which will come from us, we must have a vision for them to be overcomers in life, transfer the knowledge you gained and make sure your actions match your words. Financial prudence allows you to have resources and values at your disposal to pass on to future generations, who in turn must be taught how to manage and maintain what they would have received.

In essence, what we see here is not only an inheritance being transferred to the future generations but also a heritage, thus the importance of holding family meetings on a regular basis where the Word of God is taught.  Familial lineage must also be known – from whence we came, how we got here and where we are going. Outlining the journey is important so that the same mistakes that were made in the past will not be repeated in the future.

Additionally, we know that sin exists, so if for some reason things go wrong in the future, persons will be able to identify the root cause and deal with the matter by applying biblical principles.

So today, stay on the right path, walk with God, choose freedom from sin, and make it better for your children’s children and future generations. Teach the Word of God and rebuke the devourer and poverty will flee from you – Galatians 5:1.
